Description

The House at Newton Of Balcormo is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house. It is constructed of coursed red ashlar stone with contrasting long and short dressings. The original entrance, featuring a corniced door, was located in the slightly advanced inner bay, but this has since been converted into a window, and the house is now accessed from the rear. The property has 12-pane sash windows throughout. It features a narrow eaves band and a block pediment with a ball finial above the central bay. The roof is piended and covered with slate, and there are symmetrically placed chimney stacks.
