Description

An earlier 19th-century boundary wall and gateway marking the site of a disused six-acre distillery. The boundary wall is extensive to the north, and to the south varies in height, incorporating a reused wall of earlier buildings constructed of droved ashlar and coursed rubble, with blocked openings. Tall, square-coped ashlar gatepiers stand at the entrance, each flanked by screen walls—the wall to the west adjoins the Old Office, and the wall to the east is part of the boundary wall. Timber pedestrian gates are set within these screen walls. Decorative cast-iron gates and railings surmount the screen walls, though the eastern gate has been removed from its hinges. The Old Office House, Warehouse, Long Byre, Grange Flats, and Grange Distillery Cottage are listed separately.
