Description
Carphin House is a plain three-storey building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a four-window façade with pink harling and margins, and is topped with a slated roof. An early 19th century porch with a pediment and a tripartite fanlight doorway appears to be a slightly later addition. The house has early Victorian dormer heads on the second floor. The original appearance is better preserved at the back, where the staircase windows have gothic tops to the sashes. In front of the house, there is a balustraded area.
