Description
The lodge at Carphin House was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer around 1900 and is influenced by the Voysey school of architecture. It is a single-storey building featuring two windows and a central wooden porch. The exterior is harled, and it has a broad-eaved pyramid roof covered with red tiles, which includes a prominent chimney on the front. The gates date from the early 19th century and consist of simple piers with rusticated inner and outer faces, accompanied by railed quadrant wing walls.
