Description
The Free Church Schoolhouse in Backdykes, Anstruther Easter, was built in 1846 as a Free Church School. It is a former house that has been converted into offices. The building is two stories tall with three windows, constructed from rubble with margins, and has a slated roof. The former school section is a tall single storey made of rubble with margins and features two parallel roofs, one of which is pantiled while the back of the roof has modern tiles added in 1971. The west elevation has three windows, the east elevation has two windows, and the original glazing is still intact. There is also a south porch.
