Description
The Old School and Schoolhouse in Lonmore, Skye, was built between 1843 and 1850. It is a two-storey, three-bay house featuring a centrally projecting porch on the south (front) elevation. The exterior is finished with sneck harling and coursed, squared rubble. A large chimney stack is located on the rear elevation, and the building has a piended slate roof. At the rear, there is a former school constructed from squared caulked rubble, which has two windows on the east elevation and three on the west elevation, also topped with a piended slate roof.
