7 Nicol Street, Kirkcaldy

7 Nicol Street in Kirkcaldy is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay classical house featuring a pediment and an oriel window on the first floor that is not in keeping with the overall design. The building is constructed of painted ashlar stone, with rusticated long and short quoins and a cornice with mutules at the eaves.

The west (principal) elevation includes a corniced doorway at the center, which has a modern door. There are windows in the flanking bays and above each bay on the first floor. The outer right bay features a canted tripartite window with a boarded timber oriel base. Above the center bay is a mutuled pediment, and to the right of center is a canted tripartite dormer window. To the outer left, there is a recessed, harled extension from the 19th century.

The windows are top-opening timber, and the roof is covered with graded grey slates. The building has coped, harled chimney stacks with cans and thackstanes, along with ashlar-coped skews.

The boundary walls surrounding the property are rendered and have saddleback coping.
