Description

Weston House, located at 16 Main Street in North Queensferry, is an 18th-century end-of-row house that features a two-storey structure with a basement and attic, built on a square plan. The house has a rendered exterior and includes late 19th-century gabled dormers as well as a late 20th-century single-storey addition to the north. The ground slopes down towards the west.

On the south elevation, there are two modern basement windows on the left side, with a timber door to the right. Above the door, there is a window opening that is centered, along with a ground floor window to the left and a gabled dormer window on the first floor above. The east elevation adjoins Nos 10 and 14. The north elevation features a single-storey modern piended extension and a large half-timbered gabled dormer with a window above.

The west elevation is two bays wide, with two ground floor windows above the basement level and a small square window in the attic to the right. There is also a piended modern extension to the north. The house predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, with a timber margin-paned window above the main door and modern timber windows in the basement. The door has been replaced with a timber and glazed version. The roof is pitched and covered with pantiles, featuring easing slates, slated dormers, crowstepped skews, beaked skewputts, coped rendered gablehead stacks, and clay cans.

The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 2002.
