Description

St Serf's Kirk graveyard features mostly 19th century headstones, with the earliest dated 1794, marked with the initials 'RD IB', and another from 1804 initialled 'AM JW'. There is also a headstone from 1813 for 'Robert Leslie, tenant in Watson'. The graveyard includes obelisk-style headstones on plinths, adorned with various floral decorations.

In the northwest corner lies the burial ground of the Young family, enclosed by arrowhead cast-iron railings set into a coped ashlar wall. A monumental square pillar, likely missing its finial, commemorates 'Helen Simson, wife to William Young of Grange, died 1821, and to William Young her husband, died 1831'. There is also a square column with a broken urn finial dedicated to John Young of Grange, another John Young of Dunearn, and Joseph Young of Dunearn, who all died in 1864. Additional obelisk stones honor John Young of Grange and Robert Young of Colinswell.

The graveyard is surrounded by flat-coped rubble boundary walls, which feature square gatepiers and cast-iron gates.
