Description

The estate boundary wall at Fordell Railway, associated with Donibristle House, dates from around 1770. It has been breached in four places and is now flanked by new housing on either side. The wall runs from Regents Way in the north to St David's Harbour in the south. It is constructed of high rubble, approximately 6 feet tall, with a rubble coping. An iron track runs parallel to the wall, leading to a continuous railway situated in a cutting.
