Description
The stables at Donibristle House, likely designed by Alexander McGill, date from the later 18th century. They consist of four single-storey wings arranged around a square courtyard. The building features a cornice made of ashlar and rubble, topped with a slated roof. A notable element on the seaward side is an elliptical arched entrance, which is topped with a pediment, an octagonal drum, a slated dome, and a lantern. Inside the courtyard, there is a drinking trough.
