Description
Donibristle House is a building dating from around 1720, designed by architect Alexander McGill. While the main body of the house has been removed, two service wings remain, which are connected by a subterranean passage. Each wing is originally L-shaped and consists of three storeys. The exterior is harled, and the roofs are piended and slated. A notable feature is the fine decorative wrought-iron screen, inscribed with "C.A.M.", located between the wings on the seaward side, which includes a central iron arch. There are steps leading to the terraces of the former forecourt.
