Description

This is a mid to late 19th century free-standing, two-sided, hollow cast-iron milepost. It is painted white with black lettering, arrows, trim, and a finial on top. One side features an indicator panel with an arrow pointing south and the lettering 'DUNFERMLINE 6 MILES'. The other side has a similar indicator panel with an arrow pointing south and the lettering 'RUMBLING BRIDGE - MILES'.
