Description

Probably dating to circa 1820, this is a steading, part of which has a loft. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The eastern block slopes with the ground. The north range features segmentally arched cartsheds and a pend driveway. The steading is possibly the work of Gillespie Graham and was originally part of the Mountquhanie Estate. It forms a building group of special interest. The steading is unusually well-preserved and little altered. The listing recognizes the overall group value and applies to both the interior and exterior, as appropriate.
