Description
St Martin's Church and Churchyard, located on Kirk Wynd in Strathmiglo, is the site of the old St Martin's. The stones are mostly modern, but there are around 30 notable monuments from the 17th and 18th centuries. On the east wall, there is a monument to Francis Moray from 1646, featuring Ionic columns, a pediment, and the Moray Arms flanked by twin panels. To the south, there is a fine mid-18th century monument with Doric pilasters, a pediment, and a beautifully sculptured marble panel, although the inscription is illegible. On the west wall, there is an impressive stone for John Ireland from 1760, which includes Ionic columns, a scroll pediment, and a bowed panel.
