Strathmiglo Parish Church, Kirk Wynd, Strathmiglo

Strathmiglo Parish Church, designed by architect and builder George Kilgour from Kirkcaldy in 1787, is a simple rectangular structure built of squared rubble, some of which comes from the old St Martin's Kirk. On the south flank, there are two large round-arched windows at the center, flanked by two square-headed windows and a door on each side of the west. The door is now enclosed by a late red sandstone porch and a vestry. The north flank features three round-arched windows, all with original glass, with the center window being wider than the other two. The east gable has a square center shaft topped with a pyramid-roofed bellcote and a ball finial, along with scroll skews. Inside, the church retains its original pulpit and fittings, and there is a sculptured pediment inset in the porch that is dated 1647.
