Description

Falkland Palace features walls that enclose the palace, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with additional work by John Kinross in the 1890s. The high walls are built of rubble, and a section in front of the palace is railed, supported by rusticated gatepiers that have console finials. Within the railed area stands a statue of Onesiphorns Tyndall Bruce, created by Sir John Steell in 1865. This statue is made of bronze and is mounted on a square plinth with nookshafts.
