Description

Circa 1865. Single storey gate lodge to Biel House. Pink

sandstone rubble, squared and snecked to E front, ashlar

dressings; chamfered arrises.

E ELEVATION: slightly advanced gabled bay to left with

lead-roofed canted window; bipartite to centre bay and

narrow window to outer right; flat-roofed porch adjoined

to right with mannered lintel to doorway.

W ELEVATION: advanced gabled bay to right with single

window; modern lean-to addition to centre and left.

S ELEVATION: gabled with single window.

Square, blank apex panels to S and E gables. Small-pane

glazing pattern to sash and case windows.

Purple slates. Timber eaves brackets; leaded finials.

Moulded coping to clustered ridge stacks.
