4, 4A Victoria Road, North Berwick

4 and 4A Victoria Road in North Berwick is an early 19th-century pair of houses that have been later altered into four separate homes. The buildings are two stories tall and feature a gabled wing to the east. They are constructed from squared and coursed rubble, with the southern side harled and smooth painted margins, as well as a base and band course on the western side. The windows are a mix of plate glass and small-pane glazing patterns in sash and case style. The deep-set panelled doors come with fanlights and have chamfered arrises on their surrounds.

On the western elevation, there are three symmetrical bays on the right side (for number 2) and four bays on the left side (for numbers 4 and 4A), with doorways located in the outer left and the third bay from the left, flanking a bipartite light. The southern elevation features two gabled bays on the left with widely spaced lights. The doorway for number 1 is off-centre to the right, accompanied by a flanking light to the right and two grouped lights above, which have been altered from a single light.

The roofs are covered with pantiles and have slate eaves easing courses, along with coped skews and stacks.
