3 Melbourne Place in North Berwick is an earlier 19th century, two-storey row of houses. The exterior is harled, featuring painted door and window surrounds.

The south front has a central door with a strip fanlight and a blind window above it. There are bipartite windows at the ground floor with single lights above in the flanking bays. The end bays each have a door and a window to the left, with a bipartite window on the south side and first-floor windows above. The ground floor has a chamfered angle on the eastern side.

On the eastern gable, there is a small, low six-pane window at the ground floor. Additionally, there are two bipartite windows at the ground floor with single lights above.

The building features plate glass sash windows and has a pantiled piended roof with clay ridge tiles, along with a harled roof stack.
