Description
The Dovecot at Factor's House in Tyninghame dates back to the early 19th century. It is a gabled dovecot located at the center of an earlier range of single-storey farm buildings. The structure is made of random rubble with droved red sandstone dressings, and it features an ashlar flight hole frieze. There is a rat course below the row of flight holes and an eaves course. A small window is present on the west side. The roof is pitched with slate and has ashlar skews. The upper stage of the dovecot is accessed through a loft doorway from the eastern flanking range. The eastern flanking range includes a doorway and a window on the south side, while the western flanking range has blocked openings and both ranges have pantiled piend roofs.
