10 West End, High Street, Aberlady

This is an early to mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay house located on the High Street in Aberlady. The exterior is rendered and lined, with raised painted margins to the windows and lintels resembling a small pediment. A base course and eaves course are also visible. The front door, situated centrally, has a strip fanlight, with windows flanking either side at ground level and three windows above on the first floor. The windows are sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered in grey slates with rendered and coped mutual gable stacks and coped skews. A two-storey extension was added to the rear in the 1960s. Planning permission was granted in 1992 for the addition of a conservatory on this rear extension. The house is shown on the Ordnance Survey map of Haddingtonshire from 1854.
