Description

Henry and MacLennan, 1911. 2-storey building on corner site with shop below. Ashlar street frontage, channelled at ground with cornice above ground floor and dentil eaves cornice and moulded window margins. Squared, snecked rubble to W side and rear with raised ashlar margins.

S (STREET) ELEVATION: tripartite shop front at ground retaining period form; flanking doorway to right with shouldered surround incorporating date panel, and decorative fanlight above recessed panelled door. Corner window bay at 1st floor to left of 3-lights and chamfered angle; urn finial on projecting ground floor angle and polygonal roof with finial above. Single 1st floor light to right.

W ELEVATION: irregular openings with bipartite at ground and one light blocked. Plate glass glazing to sash and case windows. Green slate roof; moulded coping to ashlar stacks.
