Description
The Congregational Church on Auchinleck Road in Cumnock was built between 1882 and 1883. It is an early decorated church with an aisleless rectangular shape, featuring three bays of lancet windows and triple lancet transepts that are flush on the east side. The south gable includes a four-light geometrical window, a gabled bellcote, and pinnacled buttresses. The church has a slated roof with a fleche feature. Adjacent to the church is a manse located to the northeast, which is a single-storey building with an attic. The manse has two windows and a central porch, along with bipartite ground floor windows and a stone dormer, all under a slated roof.
