Description

The Edward VIII letter box, located on Kay Park Terrace in Kilmarnock, was built in 1936. It is a columnar pillar box made of cast iron, featuring a shallow-domed cap with a swept frieze and a dentilled rim. The base is painted black, while the shaft displays the initials "EVIIIR" in raised gothic lettering, with a crown above and the words "Post Office" below.
