81-83 King Street, Kilmarnock

81-83 King Street in Kilmarnock is an 1889 two-storey, three-bay Arts Club. The ground floor features modern shop fronts, while the first floor has a band course. The second floor showcases four Ionic pilasters, with two-thirds of their shafts fluted, and a central recessed canted bay. There is a string course at the second floor, an eaves course, projecting eaves, and a central triangular pediment.

The principal elevation includes a central recessed canted bay framed by strip pilasters, a lintel, and a broken pediment that surrounds a single window. Above the outer windows, there are carvings of art and musical instruments. The right and left bays each contain larger single windows, framed by half pilasters and lintels.

The south elevation adjoins another building, while the west (rear) elevation was not visible as of 2001. The ground floor has modern glazing, and the first floor features modern astragal glazing. The building has a slate roof. The interior was not seen in 2001.
