Description

32-36 Main Street in Newmilns is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay terraced tenement building with shops on the ground floor. The exterior is rendered and features a base course, eaves course, and quoin strips.

On the northeast elevation, there is a fanlit tenement door at the center of the ground floor, with shop windows on either side. The shop window to the right is tripartite and includes a two-leaf panelled door, a two-pane fanlight, flanking windows, and a coped fascia above. The shop window to the left has a two-part design, with a recessed door to the outer left that includes a shop gate, flanked by a window, and a corniced fascia above. The first floor has three grouped windows located to the left.

The building has modern windows, a grey slate roof, coped skews, and gablehead stacks. The interior was not seen in 1999.
