Description
The Loudoun Arms, located at 69 Main Street in Newmilns, is a two-storey building with a harled and creamwashed exterior, featuring grey painted stone dressings. It has three raised half dormers adorned with ornamental pediments. On the first floor, there are five sash windows set in moulded stone frames, and the central entrance is marked by a pilastered doorway. The building has plain eaves, a ridge slate roof, end stacks, and crowstepped gables. At the rear, the roof slopes down to one side, creating a pentice, with a raised attic gable in the center.
