Iron Warehouse, 20 Commercial Street, Dundee

The Iron Warehouse, located at 20 Commercial Street in Dundee, is a mid 19th century, two-storey building with an attic and basement, featuring a rectangular plan and five bays. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and has a grey slate roof. The building includes 24-pane sash and case windows, although some have been bricked up at the gable and in the far right bay of the east elevation. There are boarded doors present as well.

On the east elevation, there are large two-leaf doors leading to the basement and ground floor, with smaller doors for the first floor and a gabled hoist that breaks through the eaves. Additionally, there are two windows on the left and right at both the ground and first floors.

The west elevation is blind, with a chamfered angle to the right at the ground floor. The south gable is linked to the ground and first floors of 22 Exchange Street and features a single window on the first and second floors.

Inside, the warehouse has timber floors supported by cast-iron columns.
