Beach Clubhouse, Royal Tay Yacht Club, West Ferry, Dundee

The Beach Clubhouse at the Royal Tay Yacht Club in West Ferry, Dundee, was built by James Gray and Son, joiner, in 1887 for the eastern range and 1890 for the western range. This single-storey, L-plan yacht clubhouse features a brick base and chimney stack, with painted corrugated iron cladding and a timber frame, highlighted by bargeboarded gables.

On the south elevation, the advanced gable on the left includes a canted window with small colored panes at the top and timber infilling at the apex of the deep bargeboarded eaves, topped with a turned finial. The eastern range, set back, has a raised deck and veranda, with a door at the re-entrant angle and three timber windows with storm shutters. Timber stairs on both the left and right lead up to the raised deck of the eastern gable. A projecting chimney stack is located at the rear gable.
