1 Lawside Road, Dundee

1 Lawside Road in Dundee is a single-storey and attic villa built in 1910 by architects Thomas and Wilkie. The exterior features dry dash harling. The southeast elevation has a small central tower that is slightly advanced, with chamfered angles and a round-arched ashlar entrance located in the re-entrant angle. It is topped with a crenellated parapet and has a piended roof. To the right, there is a gabled bay with a canted window on the ground floor. A corbelled valley rainwater head is also present. The left side has set-back bays with two and four-light timber mullioned windows, overhanging eaves, and a piend-roofed dormer.

The side elevations include a piended west elevation with a two-light window on the ground floor and a single dormer above. The roofs are piended and gabled, covered with tiles, and feature ridge and east wallhead stacks. The windows are casement style with small-paned and leaded glass patterns. The property is enclosed by a boundary wall made of snecked and stugged rubble.
