Description
The railway bridge at Camperdown Works on Methven Street in Dundee was built in 1861. It features a single-span skew-arched design made of rubble. The bridge has rock-faced rubble piers and voussoirs, and it is topped with a high parapet that includes cast-iron cantilevers added later to accommodate a widened track. The approaches to the bridge are on a curved embankment. To the north, there is a low rubble-built wall and a taller curved railway abutment between the bridge and warehouse No. 4, which contains the East Well and small arches over the Lochee Burn.
