Coach House And Stable, Red Court, 17 Fairfield Road, West Ferry, Dundee

The Coach House and Stable at Red Court, 17 Fairfield Road, West Ferry, Dundee, was designed by Hypolyte J Blanc in 1886. This single-storey building has a rectangular plan and features two bays with classic detailing. It is constructed of brick and has a grey slate piended roof, along with a dentil wallhead course.

On the east elevation, there is a slightly advanced gable on the left side, which includes a round-arched carriage archway with sliding double doors, margined angles, and an ashlar dressed pediment that has a blind oculus. To the right, there is a blank bay with a piended roof.

The south elevation features a round-arched entrance door in the centre, a lean-to glass house on the right, and a brick and timber lean-to on the left, along with a large original roof light.

The north elevation faces Strathern Road and includes a brick stack and a hayloft door.

Inside, the building remains in original condition throughout, featuring a four-stall stable with timber trevises and cast-iron columns, a boarded tack room, and channelled floors.
