36 Castle Street, Dundee

28-32 Castle Street in Dundee is an earlier 19th-century, four-storey, eight-bay tenement building that features shops on the ground floor. The structure is built of sandstone ashlar with ashlar dressings, although most of these have been refaced with concrete. It has a slate roof and includes a band course above the shopfronts, a cill course on the first and second floors, and an eaves course. The ground floor has modern shopfronts, while the upper floors feature timber 12-pane sash and case windows with ashlar or concrete margins. The building is topped with ashlar-coped skews and has harled axial stacks.

The front elevation consists of one large and two small shopfronts, with a close entry to the center left and a pend to the right. There is a wreath motif on the fascia at the far right. The first, second, and third floors each have eight symmetrically placed windows, and there are two canted dormers. The interior has not been seen.
