Description
The Corsewall Bridge, built in the later 19th century, carries the south drive of Corsewall House across Corsewall Burn on an east-west alignment. It is a single-span bridge with a low, segmental arch constructed of rubble. The arch is formed of rubble voussoirs, and the bridge is topped with rubble coping. Low parapets flank the bridge, terminating in squat rubble drum piers. These piers have sandstone band courses and are capped with harled, conical tops. An Ordnance Survey map from 1849 shows a drive crossing the burn at the same location, though the current form of the bridge may be later than that date. Corsewall House and related structures, including a dovecot, farm buildings, a manor lodge, stables, and walled garden, are listed separately.
