Description

Brae is an earlier or mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay farmhouse. It is linked to a steading at the rear (north). The farmhouse is constructed of rubble and has been painted, with contrasting ashlar margins. The south elevation features a corniced, plain central doorway which is recessed and contains a modern door. It has sash windows with four-pane glazing. There are coped stacks and a slate roof. The farmhouse’s appearance is comparable to Greenback, which is dated 1854. The steading is not included as part of this listing. The statutory address is Brae Farmhouse.
