Description

54-56 English Street in Dumfries is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall. The ground floor features a modern shopfront, while the upper levels are divided into three bays. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar with margins. It has sash windows that display a 12-pane glazing pattern, an eaves course, and a single end stack. The east gable head has been partly rebuilt, and the roof is covered with slate.
