Description
Buchan House is a mid-19th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay house located at 13 Beechgrove in Moffat. The building features painted rubble with contrasting ashlar chamfered margins. A central door is situated under a bipartite window and a verandah that extends the length of the house. This verandah is adorned with a decorative cast-iron balustrade and uprights that support a swept cast-iron roof, which is partly crested. The projecting north bay contains tripartite windows. The eaves are supported by cast-iron brackets. The roof has one bipartite window and an unfortunate modern box dormer.
