Description

Harelaw Limekilns is a late 18th century limekiln featuring a triangular flue opening. It is built against a bank to the east, with two simpler kilns added to the north in the mid 19th century. All the flues face west. The structure is made of roughly-squared rubble with ashlar coping. The original flue recess has unusual geometric corbel courses also made of ashlar. The other kilns have openings supported by iron girder lintels and simple buttresses.
