Description

Penton Bridge is an early 19th-century road bridge featuring a single wide segmental arch over the River Liddel. The bridge is constructed from coursed stugged and squared rubble, with recessed ashlar arch-rings. The ashlar parapets may not be original and are splayed at the approaches. The terminal piers are topped with pyramidal caps.
