1 Reid Terrace, Creebridge, Newton Stewart

2 Read Terrace in Creebridge, Newton Stewart is a single-storey, four-bay cottage built in the later 19th century. It is located at the end of a terrace that now consists of three properties. The exterior is primarily painted rubble, although the paint has been removed from the left half of the south elevation.

On the south elevation, there are doors in the central bays; a modern door is located to the left, while a boarded door is to the right, both featuring letterbox fanlights. There is a window in each of the outer bays.

The east elevation, facing Creebridge, has a window to the right at ground floor level and another window in the gablehead. Additionally, there are two windows in the wing that is attached to the right.

The west elevation is adjoined to No 4 Reid Terrace, which is listed separately. The north elevation features a lower gabled wing attached to the left, a blank gable to the north, and a brick lean-to attached to the right return. There is a window to the right and a gabled brick addition at the center of the first floor.

The cottage has four-pane glazing in sash and case windows, with a dormer window on the right side of the south pitch. It has brick stacks, one at the gablehead on the east and another below the ridge on the south pitch to the west. The roof is covered with graded grey slates and has several rooflights on the south pitch.
