Description
Toy Fort, built around 1900, is a square-plan mock fort that features both single and two-storey sections, with taller towers at the corners. The structure is made of stugged rubble with finely tooled dressings and prominent contrasting pointing. Most of the openings are round-arched, and the windows are small-pane glazed. The northeast and southeast corners have polygonal towers, while the northwest corner features a round tower topped with a candle-snuffer roof. At the southwest corner, there is a square turret that is corbelled out at the first floor. All the parapets are castellated. The west elevation is single-storey and includes two small cart arches at the ground level and a conservatory to the left. There is also a pair of tall coped rubble gatepiers with ball finials and timber gates. The boundary walls are curved, made of rubble with decorative pebble coping.
