Description
This building is a tower located at Mucklaberry, Vaila, dating from the early 19th century with alterations made around 1900. It is a two-storey, symmetrical castellated folly with a square plan, featuring harl-pointed rubble walls. The east elevation has a round-arched door at the ground floor and a round-arched window at the first floor. On the west elevation, there are two closely spaced windows at the ground level, with four small gothic niches above them and a round-arched window centered at the first floor. The tower is topped with a corniced and crenellated parapet, which includes a crenellated circular turret at the northeast corner. The windows have fixed timber glazing, and there is a wallhead stack with a circular chimney on the east parapet.
