Description

Larganlee Martyrs Monument is a granite obelisk built in 1843, standing approximately 15 feet high. It features a moulded hand at the top and is inscribed with the words 'to the memory of William Herron, John Gordon, William Stewart and John Wallace who were shot by Capt Bruce, 1685.' A rubble walled enclosure located a few hundred yards away contains the gravestones of the martyrs.
