Description
These are a group of four earlier 19th-century cottages, originally six, that were restored in the later 20th century. They are situated in Kirkton village. Four cottages face south, while two are set at an angle, facing southwest; the cottage to the left of what was formerly a range now has a blocked door. The cottages are constructed of painted rubble with painted margins, featuring four-pane sash windows and boarded doors. They have straight skews and red ashlar apex stacks with projecting caps. The roofs are slated. Cobbled pavements are present. These cottages form a group with Rowan House, Rowan Cottage, and Greystone Cottage.
