Description

Rowan Cottage is an early to mid-19th century single-storey cottage, comprising three narrow bays. It is constructed of squared rubble with painted margins. An off-centre door is fitted with a fanlight, accompanied by four-pane sash windows. A low opening has been blocked at the left-hand side, with its margins linked to an eaves band. The roof is covered with graded slates. The cottage forms a group with Rowan House, Greystone Cottage, and 1-5 Weighbridge Cottages. The statutory address is Rowan Cottage, Kirkton Village.
