Description
These are two early 19th-century cottages, later restored in the late 20th century. Originally built as six single-storey, three-bay cottages with a central doorway, four now face south, and two are set at an angle, facing southwest. The cottage to the left of the former range is set at an angle and has a blocked doorway. The cottages are constructed of painted rubble with painted margins. They have four-pane sash windows and boarded doors, with straight skews. The roofs are slated, with red ashlar apex stacks featuring projecting caps. Cobbled pavements are present. The cottages are part of a group with Rowan House, Rowan Cottage, and Greystone Cottage.
