Portville, 32 Fleet Street, Gatehouse Of Fleet

Portville, located at 32 Fleet Street in Gatehouse of Fleet, is a house built after 1853. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure that features distinctive gables added to the outer bays, which are designed as dormer windows. The exterior is finished with painted and lined render and has raised cills.

On the west elevation, there is a central entrance with two-leaf panelled doors topped by a fanlight with a letterbox. The flanking bays contain windows, and there are additional windows in each bay on the first floor. The outer bays have been gabled later and feature large, round-arched windows in the attic.

The north elevation is blank, while the south elevation is adjacent to a modern outbuilding. The windows are sash and case style, with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The house has gable end stacks and is rendered with decorative clay cans, topped with graded grey slates.

The property also includes decorative two-leaf cast-iron gates and a rubble boundary wall with a mannered rubble coping.
