Description
East Lodge dates to around 1840. It is a symmetrical, single-story lodge with three bays and a piend roof. The lodge has lying-pane glazing, and is flanked by a driveway with square gatepiers. The lodge is constructed of stugged red ashlar with polished dressings. The south elevation has a central doorway, now with a modern door, located below a wall-head gable; it also features sash windows, some with modern dummy shutters, and bipartite windows on the north flank. A central axial stack includes two square flues. A modern addition to the rear (north) of the lodge has a slated roof with projecting eaves. The gatepiers are panelled, square, and have pedimented caps. The statutory address is Cleuchard Lodge and Gatepiers.
