Description

Dated 1878 on rainwaterhead. Picturesque asymmetrical gabled

large villa. Stugged and squared pink rubble with ashlar

dressings. Single storey with attic, 3-bay N elevation has 2

2-storey gabled bays, the inner with door with

stone-bracketted and gabled hood, bay to left of latter

recessed and with dormer, canted ground floor window to

right. Gabled 4-bay long S range in double-pile arrangement

with twin-gabled E elevation, 4 gabled dormers to S. Mostly

single windows, sashes, with plate glass or 4-pane glazing

pattern; 2-storey bays with cill band at eaves level. End and

axial stacks, one with projecting breast, grouped flues

individually expressed and with linking cornices; slated

roofs all with bracketted eaves.
